  • Develop and manage information architectures, taxonomies, and content strategies for Mentor online marketing & support.

  • Develop and deliver internal training in best practices for web content development, search engine strategy, intellectual property, SEO, web marketing, and user experience.
  • Coach development teams in streamlining architectural frameworks and development and delivery standards.


  • and microsite projects (ongoing). Drive project requirements phase for redesigns and new sites, including:
    • Where necessary, complete analysis of external site (migration of acquisitions).
    • Existing content inventory and evaluation, with development of maintenance strategy.
    • Derivation of microsite/global site taxonomies.
    • Development of low-fidelity wireframes and user flows.
    • Project analysis for design and development teams.
  • E-commerce. Defined user experience, error conditions, and base requirements for domestic and international e-commerce sites selling Mentor software and training.
  • Software release system. Developed requirements, managed field mapping, business logic, and user flows for Mentor’s extremely disjointed internal English/Japanese software release system. The resulting system greatly streamlined the release process and reduced error rates.
  • Mentor on-demand training application and content plan. Conducted extensive user research into state-of-the-art on-demand training systems and business models, then developed and presented a plan to senior management to overhaul Mentor’s on-demand training services. Once approved:
    • Worked with training managers to develop system requirements.
    • Built wireframes and user flows to track training sales (online) and delivery.
    • Developed and managed pilot programs with selected Mentor customers.
  • Sales/support time tracking. Developed full business requirements for consolidating two aging, home-grown time-tracking systems (for sales and support divisions) into unified mobile+web+desktop apps tied into Mentor datamarts and analytics systems.
    • Conducted user interviews and surveys, defined business logic, and negotiated final requirements consolidation.
    • Helped negotiate final application requirements with selected outsource development team, reducing final costs.
  • SupportNet 3 (current project). Develop business requirements, logic, internal user experience, and datamart dependencies to overhaul, Mentor’s software/license/support portal, which generates roughly a third of Mentor’s $1.2B
    annual revenue.
